After I put 55$ worth of gas in the truck it would not start. I waited about 5-10 minutes and it finally started.however, as I was driving, not even 5 miles from the gas station, the vehicle shut off at 45 mph. I pulled over and kept trying to start the truck. It was cranking but would not start. After about 5-10 minutes truck did start right back up.then, not even another 5 miles the truck shut off again. This time I waited 20 minutes and the truck started right back up.I left it parked for about 5 wks then had the camshaftsensor replaced as well as the fuel pump and the fuel filter replaced, only this time the service engine light was in once these 3 parts were replaced. Service engine light was never on before these issues.ive had it scanned and it read 5 different codes, including the cam shaft sensor, speed sensors on both left and right side along with 2 more that weren't given to me. Drove it a short distance (7 miles)& it shut of again 55 mph on a busy street.had the codes cleared and drove it short distances in the last 3 days and today when I pulled up to a redlight it began acting as if it were gonna shut off.I came back home and parked it and dont plan on driving anywhere else until someone can give me an exact answer to the problem and I have it fixed!! I was told by 2 mechanics that they couldnt find an issue!!

1999 Chevy Tahoe with very bad brakes. Purchased vehicle 1/6/08. 1 prior owner which lived in Texas. When purchased veh. Had a history rpt that showed all routine maintenance was done. We had vehicle for a couple of days noticed brakes didn't work well. Took back. Dealer replaced M/C and fluid.. brakes weren't better. 2-3 months later took to another shop. They were amazed at the rusty brake fluid they said that doesn't happen even when fluid isn't chgd or flushed in two yrs. Cldnt find any probs pads etc. Was fine. They cgd fluid of coarse. 2-3 mo later same thing. Recently read about recall 05068 NHTSA 05V379000. I have been in two accidents. Not sure why GM hasn't incl. Texas as covered state. The most commercial salt producing states are Texas Michigan w. virg. Kansas. States that do salt mining today are Texas Kansas Louisiana Ohio New York Canada. All states are mentioned in recall except Texas"?" aren't they saying salt on the roads in extreme weather states is part of what caused the problem to the speed sensor/ABS. What do I need to do to get the state of Texas to be incl. In the recall so I can get my brakes fixed by GM accidents were on 9/26/08 and 12/24/08. No deaths. Some injuries.

I thought you might be interested in information I have regarding the installation of a forward-facing car seat in a 1999 Chevrolet Suburban. The Suburban comes with tether anchors installed for the two outboard seats in the third row, but no anchors for the center seat in the third row and no anchors for any seats in the second row. The owner's manual says the dealer can install anchors for you. Not true! according to the representatives at the 800-number provided in the owner's manual, Chevrolet does not have permanent anchors for the second row. Instead, they have a little metal plate (it looks just like the latch plate part of the regular seat belt) that hooks into the buckle for the third row. This means several things: With a tethered child restraint in the second row, you lose a seating spot in the third row, you can't lower the third row to increase cargo space, you can't remove the third row to increase cargo space, and the tether strap does not go straight back but instead goes at an angle. The instructions for using this add-on device are unclear, but they seem to indicate that if you have three tethered child restraints in the second row, two of them must share one tether anchor for the center rear seat. The service department manager at our local dealer tried to be helpful, but he said he couldn't even help me install an after-market tether anchor because of liability reasons. I'm using the add-on device the dealer provided (actually, they gave me one and sold me another, because I needed two). Couldn't Chevy just develop some instructions for dealers to use in installing a tether anchor in the floor for the second-row seating positions" I want to get the word out to other consumers before they buy this vehicle under the wrong assumptions like I did...any advice" (the incident date represents the first date on which I called the Chevy 800-number.)

Toyota of orange did not stand by their guarantee of "lemon" used cars. I purchased a used vehicle from them and continuously have had problems with the car. Not only did they not fix the problems, but they would not take the car back. I am now past the eligable time limit for 'lemon law' benefits and am stuck with a defective car that I cannot even sell for the 'kelly blue book price', because it does not run properly.

Engine light came on had this checked came up with transmission slippage. Took to dealer said that Chevy says that it is better to replace transmission with a new one because the problem is not visible when looking at the tranmission.

While driving vehicle it suddenly died out for no reason. Later, vehicle could be restarted. Then the engine check light would come on & stay on. Engine would start to surge. Vehicle would stall out again. Would not stay started. After giving vehicle gas, the rpms would rev high. Taking vehicle to dealer to have it checked out.
