the windows will work when they want. no time line. doesn't take long for them to begin working again once stopped. a short of some sort.

Suburban 2500 HD V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 80,000 miles

All the windows developed an annoying squeak after a couple of years, and this one window was worse and burned out the drive motor. Adding silicone to the tracks helps, but they still squeak.

Suburban LS 5.8L V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 111,000 miles

Divers Window sometimes does not work. It seems to happen mostly in warm (hot) weather and after going over numerous bumps in rapid succession. However, I haven't been able to replicate the problem. This only happens "rarely" and I suspect the control connection on the motor itself.

Driver side middle window sometimes won't go down when switch is pushed by passenger even when they are not locked. Never know when it will and when it won't.
