On multiple occasions, the low beam headlights suddenly stopped working. High beams and other lights all work. The low beams came back on after 1/2 hour the first two times, but now are not working again. I found several complaints about this problem in online discussion forums (for example: www.automotivehelper.com/topic303104.htm ), and the problem apparently involves wires that are pinched in the steering column due to the design of the tilt wheel. This is a very dangerous problem when driving at night and the lights suddenly go out.

While driving the consumer heard a bell sound and at the same time the vehicle head lights went out and the daytime running lamp failed to turn on resulting in poor visibility, the vehicle is equipt with an automatic headlight sensor which failed, the consumer had to turn on the headlights manually with the headlight switch.
