Suburban

  • 50,000 miles
2001 Chevy Suburban with vortec 5.3 L engine. During hot days or warm engine, the throttle sticks in "idle" position, requiring significantly heavier pressure on the accelerator pedal resulting in a sudden and uncontrollable acceleration when it releases for the stuck "idle" position. This event occurs at irregular intervals, on the vortec 5.3 engine, as a relative has a similar problem with the Chevy pickup and the same 2001 5.3 vortec engine.

Suburban 8-cyl

Engine shuts off during first initial run. If I leave the house and get to the stop sign. It will shut off. Even after the first few minutes of driving when I try to turn it will shut off. After the engine runs a while it operates normally.
