The fuel pump on my 2003 Chevrolet Suburban has failed. It seems that this has been a problem with these vehicles in the past. I wish I had known before. I bought the car used in 2005, with approximately 32,000 miles on it. The "throttle body module", "steering gear", dash cluster, and now fuel pump have all failed! this has made me very upset with the manufacturer. The vehicle now has 72,000 miles on it. I thought buying american was the right thing to do. Now I'm worried about my 2004 GMC Sierra.

The contact owns a 2003 Chevrolet Suburban 1500. While driving 30 mph, one of the tires flattened. The contact was unable to use the spare tire because the tire release cable latch was rusted and impossible to remove. He walked to a gas station and had the flat tire repaired. The dealer and manufacturer stated that the vehicle was ten months over its warranty. The current and failure mileages were 32,200. *updated 12/12/07

An internal mechanical failure within the air conditioner's compressor caused the catastrophic failure of the ac unit. This ocurred at approximately 46000 miles. A hose attached to the compressor completely blew off the vehicle, disseminating a white cloud and freon on the vehicles directly behind me on the highway. Chevrolet charged $1700 to repair the ac unit, since the vehicle was outside of the warranty. I have spoken with two other people who have identical incidents.
