I have read many complaints of this problem and no solutions. I had to have the dealer take out the bolt, I guess with a reverse tool, and they put a new bolt in that has a wider stance and is easier to get to with out bottoming out against the pan itself. I know GM wants to make all the money they can but this is ridiculous. Apparently they no longer want home mechanics to touch anything.
