After shutting the car off it will not restart until it gets damn good and ready to. Normally about 15 minutes later. The starter has been replaced along with the starter relay. Good battery voltage.
When key is turned on all gauges work along with all accessories. No "click" when switching to start position to indicate starter solenoid has engaged
I'm guessing there is a "security issue" but have no idea what triggers it.

For years, every once and a while the fuel gauge would stop working while driving. Shut the engine off, and the next time you start it works. Then the whole gauge cluster would blink on and off once and a while. Yesterday it didn't come on until I drove about 20 miles. Now today the cluster wouldn't work at all till I stopped at a repair garage. Then every thing worked again. It only worked while at the garage. It's not working at all right now. Last year was a transmission and the Famous transfer case leak which together was over $4,000.00 dollars plus Air conditioning problems, alternator, Battery, head lights. Had to buy an after market case since GM doesn't sell them. I love suburban's, But this electrical stuff has me annoyed. This car has cost me more to own than any other car I've ever owned .From what I'm reading, I'm stuck buying a new cluster at 500 to 800 dollars or more. We only have 1 Chevy dealer and most folks avoid using them because they are overly expensive. Not sure where to go from here. No recall to my knowledge. I have to much Invested to trade or sell it. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

The needles on my dash for the Temperature goes well past 210 as though its hot. I had the temperature gauge changed and it's still doing that. My mechanic says it's something with the electrical system. Now the gauge needle on the dash is doing the same thing.
Does anyone else have this problem?

Hazard lights flash when using turn signals, Left or Right but doesn't do it every time??? Whats up with this???? I don't have the money for an electrical diagnosis, just hoping not to get pulled over for it.

So my wife and I started to notice that when we get out of 04 Suburban, we might have had the FM Radio on, when we get in to start it up, the CD player would play! We both have also experienced problems this same problem with the AC, Vent and Heater settings changing randomly. We reported this several times to our Local Chevy dealer and they could find no problems. They have changed out some electronic components under warranty, but this still does not fix the problem.

While under warranty, A/C started blowing hot air (in 100+ degree summer heat--with a baby, toddler, and mother-in-law in the back seats) & locks randomly engaged/disengaged while moving down the road at any speed. Dealer said they could not diagnose or fix the problem after multiple visits within warranty period. After warranty ran out, problem again reared its ugly head, so I brought to another dealer, and Mr. Cowboy Hat Service Mangager said--and I quote verbatim, "We see this all the time; the ground wire behind the dash is loose. That'll be $475..." Thanks, Chevy!
Another couple years later & less than 50K miles, the A/C blew hot air again. Blend door problem diagnosed by non-dealer. "That'll be $774. Have a nice day." Thanks, Chevy!
Dome light intermittently lights up/goes off/lights up/goes off... That also started after warranty ended. Stomping the floor resolves issue...for about 12 seconds; this is not an electrical "gremlin," but an electrical DEMON SPAWN! Children & wife find it entertaining. Thanks, Chevy!
Gauge cluster intermittently came and went for the last few thousand miles. Now has completely failed. Display under gauges showed about 15 or so little digital rectangles. Display stays on when I turn off Sub and remove key. Apparently some circuit is remaining active because my battery is now dead after Sub sat for a couple days. Can't charge battery while installed (apparently the ONLY functioning part of the electrical system is some built in voltage protection circuit that won't accept a 0.8 amp battery charger...#$%!), but battery has those new-fangled recessed terminals so charging will be "difficult" after I remove it. Thanks, Chevy designers!
Wife was last to drive it, and was afraid of bumping her '13 Camaro SS conv., so she "snugged" the driver side up against our flowering wall o' star jasmine and climbed out passenger side, then set the alarm. [When I met her almost 30 years ago, It was love at first sight, mostly because she could parallel-park her 2500 long bed extra cab pick-up without issue--Dear God, what happened???] Dead battery means fob won't unlock. No keyhole in passenger side. I had to brave 20-year old star jasmine shrubbery--which means black widows, nature's honeymakers, and a pissed off yellow finch just to get to the @#$! hood latch. Sub is blocking my gate so I can't get my '72 C20 pick up out from behind the gate to sub for the Sub ('72 runs almost flawlessly, but gets about 7 mpg with a tailwind). Guess I'll have to renew my AAA card...
