So this knocking started and every mechanic I went to did the 'ol Head Scratching move. The dealer says it's slapping, but GM is the one who deserves the slapping, I was just about to buy a new Camaro but am so sick and disgusted by GM problems that I'm looking at switching my alliance to another make of vehicle.

So I was told to do a engine flush, NOTHING! New oil, filter and nothing still there, even after it warms up...So I did another oil change and WHAM NOTHING AGAIN IT'S STILL THERE! THIS STINKS! GM MAN UP AND RECALL THIS ERROR OF YOURS!!!

Car started to knock in the morning time for a few minutes and would quit when engine was warm. Changed the oil, problem quit for a week and started again. Changed oil again. Quit for another week. Truck runs great. Changed the oil three more times, same outcome. Dealer, local mechanics and no one online could explain. Told me to sober up. After three months of research, Chilton manuals, online auto forms, concluded it was the oil pump. Went to order oil pump from Chevy dealer and was told not to worry about it. Chevrolet just issued a statement to the dealers, that a cold knock has formed and is being investigated. Asked what I could do about it, and the reply was "nothing". Knock is not getting any better with oil change any longer. They insist it is a cold knock and should get better as temperatures warm. (I live in Texas). Is there any mention of a recall on this matter? Or do I need to have a Chevy emblem removed from my rear? Thank you and good day!
