I have noticed that this vehicle can not stay going straight going down a fairly level road. During the early miles of this wonderful GM product...I started to notice severe tire wear on the front tires, we had the tires rotated at 5k miles. At 20k miles, we had an alignment done on the vehicle and I was informed then that this vehicle was severely out of alignment. Six months later, we had to replace tires, prior to going on a road trip. After the road trip, my wife informed me that the front passenger side felt like the tire was going to fall off. We took back to the Chevy dealer and they informed me that some mechanical component that keeps the wheel alignment had come loose and suggested that I take it back to where I had the alignment done. Mind you this was about 40 miles away. All the mechanic had to do was tighten this thing down, but they did not want the liability. I took it back to where we purchased the tires which was different store from where we had received the alignment 6 months earlier. The owner showed me what was wrong and I was appalled that the dealer would not have a problem with me driving down the road. I told my wife then, which was about 2 years ago we should dump this GM piece of crap but, she loves the thing to much. Well that's about to change!

Since the vehicle was new, we noticed a "noise" sometimes when we would turn the wheels, generally when pulling into or backing out of a parking spot. When it had 20000 miles, all tires had to be replaced due to excessive wear. It had also had 6 front end alignments by the mileage. The Chev dealer said there was nothing wrong with the vehicle...... It is to the point that I have to get a front end alignment at least 3-4 times per month. We now know that the "noise" we hear when turning the wheels is the something moving, putting it out of alignment. So far, 3 Chev dealers' service depts have not or cannot find a problem. This is costing about $60 per alignment or $200 per month, plus tires that wear too fast.
