I walk outside one day and notice my back glass on my rarely used 2004 suburban is crooked. I attempt to open the glass and the dam thing almost falls off in my hands. WTF! I never use the glass door. I checked with the dealership and despite the friendly customer service rep stating he sees tons of these I am supposed to be out 500.00 bucks for the insurance deductible. I am told the glass is 900 bucks. I only had to pay 500 and I will be forced to absorb the difference on my premiums for the next 5 years when the insurance company nails me for "unusually high claims." It's a no win. After seeing the many posts on this its obvious GM has a problem. Of course, the re-design was only an upgrade, not in response to a high number of failures.
I cannot believe that GM would continue to let this happen to its customers. It's no wonder why everyone is buying foreign. I am about to turn this truck in on a lease return, and I will be heading straight to the Toyota plant. Poor GM. It's so simple. Make the customers happy, and your business will survive. Simple concept. And to the GM workers, sorry, I love you, but your companies philosophy towards customers sucks!

I opened the back hatch-back window and it fell off down on the right side of the truck. I reported it to the auto dealership in my home town and they stated that it was not a recalled item and I would have to pay for it. I think that it is unfair and it still haven't been repaired; however, it is annoying everytime I open the back window, i.e. shopping or traveling. What can I do?

The back glass of my 04 Suburban is coming apart. It is either going to fall off or shatter I bought this vehicle because I have 3 children that play sports, so obviously I need to use the back to put their equipment in not to mention grocery's ect ect. It is absolute bull sh*t that Chevy has not rectified this problem. I am not the only person that has had this problem but call or email Chevy and that is what they act like. Oh they will return the call and keep you on the phone for 45 min. wasting your time they don't care about their time because hell they get paid for It... I have already replaced the motors for the front 2 windows @ 500.00 each and Now this another 900.00 WTF the Damn car isn't even paid for yet..... Well lets hope and pray that one of my children do not forget it is broken and try to open it! The glass is heavy and could seriously hurt a 6 year old child. Great F*cking going Chevy!!!!!!! It will be the last one I buy!
