Ok so I am done with yelling. The true is that it's depressing because first the driver side broke, then the passenger side, and know the rear right door. the pictures is from the passenger side handle, the one from the back. is still not fix. I will report it again on a different complain. we are really thinking of getting another but this will be the last suburban we will buy. It was a miss take to buy a suburban

I have read all over the internet that this is a problem for the door handle is breaking. I think if you are going to spend the money we spend on these vehicles Chevrolet can at least put a real door handle on. The door handles should be mad from metal. I refuse to put another cheap door handle on because I have read that they will just break again.

2007 suburban LTZ, now has three broken door handles. Clearly an engineering design defect, guessing here, but a 300-400 pound door, being opened by a handle connected to the door with plastic components?! Outrageous that one cannot enter his or her $50,000 SUV because the door handles fall off!! My vehicle is extremely weill maintained, there is NO abuse. I am a degreed mechanical engineer, and this design is laughable. Ok, it happens, STEP UP AND TAKE RESPONSIBILITY CHEVY!! what i would like to know, is this JUST chrome handles??? Are the chrome handles dealer installed?? I am 99.9% sure that is not the case. I have never seen an autombile with this problem, 4 years old or 40!
Take care of your customers Chevy, this is my third Suburban, and I bought my 4th today!! A 2011 LTZ, with my size family, I have no choice and this is a great vehicle otherwise.

We have owned 4 suburbans over the past 30 years. We sold the 1990 suburban having over 450,000 miles on it and the ORIGINAL door handles were still on and working just fine. We had to replace two handles in 2009 to the tune of over $200.00 and tomorrow we will replace the other two. When you spend over $50,000 on a vehicle, you expect to be able to get in the thing. Without door handles which stay attached to the vehicle, it becomes a touchy situation. My neighbor who has the same vehicle has replaced all the handles on her vehicle as well. Come on, Chevy. Give us a break!!!!!

Hate to sound like a broken record, but when you pay near 50K for a car do you expect the door handles not to come completely off the SUV! My god Chevy why must you build such crappy , inferior cars? FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS and the door handles come off? I had 3 come off at 3 separate times. You would think they would replace all the door handles when I brought the car in in the first place. My other car is a BMW 2007 % series, if this happened to it BMW would rush a loaner car over to my office, apologize profusely for the inconvenience of the door handle coming off, drive my car back tot heir service department and repair it all fro FREE. THAT is customer service. Chevy is doomed to fail.
