When the vehicle is put in drive or reverse and parking brake is still engaged there is nothing to warn you and the vehicle still performs as though the parking brake were was never engaged then after the vehicle reaches about 10 mph there is warning sound.

2010 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 truck. Consumer states problem with brakes the consumer stated when he applied the brakes to stop, the engine revved and the RPM reached 3500 and locked. Updated 10/20/11.
