I took a chance and bought a used 2013 LTZ Chevy Suburban. Beautiful looking vehicle inside and out. Unfortunately, looks can be deceiving. At only 77,00 miles I heard a noise coming from the engine. I had it towed to the shop and come to find out that the lifters had to be replaced along with the cam. Then I was told that the parts are on backorder due to G.M. Finally after several months went by, the vehicle was fixed.
The same day I got the vehicle back a check engine light came on. So I took it back to the dealership so they could run the code which was P3400, cylinder Deactivation System, known as the VLOM would need to be replaced, Valve Lifters Oil Manifold. These Suburbans cost way too much to have all the problems with their engines. Needless to say, I will never own a Chevy Suburban. Buyers beware of the Suburban, don't let that nice look fool you.
