A/C CLUTCH BURNED OUT ON THE COMPRESSOR AT 52,000 MILES. REALLY CHEVY? OF COARSE IT HAPPENS THE DAY IT WAS 104 DEGREES OUTSIDE, AND I HAD TO DRIVE TO JERSEY FROM NEW YORK TO A JUNK YARD ON THE HOTTEST DAY OF THE YEAR SWEATING LIKE A DOG TO GO GET A USED ONE BECAUSE THE DEALER WOULD TAKE 2 WEEKS TO SPECIAL ORDER BECAUSE THEY DIDNT HAVE THE COMPRESSOR IN STOCK. I CANT WAIT 2 WEEKS. THEY PROBABLY RAN OUT OF COMPRESSORS CAUSE THEY FAIL SO FREQUENTLY.

THE CAR WAS FILLED WITH PASSENGERS WHEN THE COMPRESSOR BELT BROKE AND THE A/C PARKED UP WITH TEMPERATURE AROUND 76 AND HUMIDITY OF 86%. THIS WAS PAINED AND THE CHEVY DID NOT COVER BECAUSE IT WAS OFF BY 3 MILES.

I was driving home from work one day and I heard a loud screeching noise and then smelled the burning rubber. I took my 2015 Suburban straight to the dealership. I was told that the clutch on the air compressor was shot. My truck was out of warranty, having 39k miles, but only two years old. This repair cost me $1100. it fixed the problem for two weeks.....

The AC clutch rubber burnt and we thought the car was on fire. I took the AC fuse out an had compressor replaced. I have a 95 Ford and still with original compressor at 80,000 miles
