Passenger side floorboard reaches high temperatures directly over exhaust pipe and catalytic convertor. Right side floorboard temperature inside cabin measures 120 degrees under normal driving and has been measured at 146 degrees while towing approximately 3000 lbs on a vehicle with 5500 lbs rated towing capacity. 146 degree temperature was recorded during optimal towing conditions, level driving, night, low wind and 50 degrees air temperature. Clear indications that temperature exceeded 146 degrees during previous usage. (towed same trailer and load many times in the past without temperature spikes.) this problem was reported to the dealer and Chevrolet who have refused to admit a problem exist and these temperatures are what they call "normal operations". engine and transmission temperatures were well within norms. Dealer service representative suggested I buy a fire extinguisher!
