This was manufactered at the Decatur, Illinois Firestone plant in 1998, LT265/75 R16, dot 7bw8 pda148 N07R; explosive belt failure at 72mph shot belts into the wheelwell of truck with proper inflation and maintenance (35-40psi). (dot number: 7bw8pda148 tiresize: L265/75R16)

Bridgestone dueler 684 tires, LT265/75R16size, dot#: 7bw8pda148, and after market tires. At 72mph tread on the left rear tire separated from belts, causing minor damage to vehicle. Firestone has inspected tire.

A tread on the passenger side rear tire separated enough to allow the steel belts to come through. There was no complete separation, more like a tear. Tire pressure was completely lost.
