Tahoe LS 5.3L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 97,821 miles

One day when i turned my blower level to 1 and then tried to put on 2 the blower did not come on but i heard the vent open but no blower sound but when i turned it to 3 it came on.I called my local Chevy dealer and they told me it was a resistor that has a tendency to melt from heat and they could change it.they said they would have to put a new resistor and wiring harness in and it would cost a total of $170 to fix.Is anyone else having this problem?
