ABS pump motor is staying on continuously after the vehicle is turned off. After researching online, found that an internal relay in the electronic brake control module is shorting and causing the ABS pump motor to continue to run while operated and even after vehicle and ignition is turned off. Without disconnecting plug to motor or ABS fuse, either failure of ABS pump motor will occur, failure of ebcm will occur and even possible fire hazards due to overheating ABS pump motor. Since I was able to read online that many others are having the same problem, it seems that there should be a recall to fix the problem and prevent future failures of ABS equipment, possible car fires due to continuous ABS pump motor activation even with vehicle turned off, resulting in possible injuries and even death to the public.

I've had two anti-lock brake modules replaced, 1 at 40K miles & again at 130K miles. They went bad for no apparent reason. The cost on the first one was $900, and the last was over $1400. I saved the last one.
