Tahoe LT 5.3L V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 182,361 miles

SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON, HOOKED IT UP TO A COMPUTER IT SAID KNOCK SENSORS 1 AND 2. HAD THEM, GASKETS, AND WIRING HARNESS REPLACED. THEN IT STARTED RUNNING WAY WORSE. IDLED ROUGH, GAS MILEAGE WENT TO SH*T. REPLACED THE MAP SENSOR, FINALLY MY MECHANIC SAID TAKE IT TO THE DEALERSHIP. PAID $125 JUST TO BE TOLD THAT IT WAS THE ECM, SO WE PLACED THAT.

THE DEALERSHIP SAID THEY CHECK MY COIL PACKS MOVED THEM AROUND TO SEE IF THE MISFIRE FOLLOWED AND IT DID NOT SO THEY WERE GOOD. WE REPLACED THE ECM AND STILL SAME THING THIS WHOLE TIME KNOCK SENSORS STILL SHOWING EVEN AFTER WE REPLACE THE ECM. WE DECIDED TO REPLACE THE IAC SENSOR, WE TOOK IT TO THE MECHANIC AND IT STILL SHOWED KNOCK SENORS, BUT ALSO SHOWED COIL #4 AND THE FLEX FUEL SENSOR.... WHICH IS LIKE $400, I FOUND A SENSOR BY PASS AND DID SO RESEARCH AND BOUGHT IT.

WELL, WE HOOKED IT UP AND NOW I HAVE 2 NEW CODES THAT ARE SENSORS AND 2 COILS MISFIRING. WE HAVE CALLED GM AND ALL THEY SAY TO DO IT TAKE TO THE DEALERSHIP AND HAVE THEM LOOK AT IT AND PAY MORE MONEY. NOT EVEN 3 DAYS LATER AFTER TALKING WITH THEM THEY CALLED ME AND OFFERED $2000 TO PUT DOWN ON ANOTHER VEHICLE, BUT WOULD NOT PAY OFF THE LOAN I HAVE ON MY TAHOE.

I AM GETTING VERY TIRED OF HAVING TO DRIVE MY BOYFRIENDS TRUCK BECAUSE I CANT NOT TRUST MINE TO NOT BREAK DOWN SINCE WE ARE UNABLE TO FIND OUT WHAT IS CAUSING IT TO RUN THE WAY IT IS AND EVERY TIME WE REPLACE SOMETHING, MORE THINGS COME UP. WE HAVE TALKED WITH A GM MECHANIC AND HE WORKS WITH OUR MECHANIC TO TRY TO FIGURE IT OUT BUT THEY ARE HAVING ISSUES FIGURING IT THEMSELVES.
