Was driving South on highway 77 when my Tahoe starting to bounce on the front end then starting fish tailing from white line to white line tried to correct and had no steering. Then went off the right side of road and hit a driveway and flipped end over end then back over headed in the opposite way. There was a person watching the accident happened and he stated that the truck was bouncing going down the road then went out of control and flipped. Had Tahoe serviced in March for a popping noise at richard kay superstore in anderson South Carolina where they stated they fixed the problem. Stated was a steering shaft. They replaced it. Callaway wrecker service stated that there was a problem in the front end that was very suspicious. With one of the wheels and where was connected to the frame. This would have been where the bouncing came from where the tire was turned sideways.

I a 2005 Chevy Tahoe that has the 3rd steering ball joint mid shaft broken again. I had the last two repairs done and needs it again, this is a very known problem with these model vehicles and was told by the dealer that General Motors is not going to do anything, I was told to deal with it. The fact is that this is a distraction to the driver when driving and in worry if the steering will become disabled when driving. This concern needs to be reviewed before an accident does happen. At this time the problem is only a distraction and feels unsafe when driving, but this needs to be investigated before an injury or death occurs for this common complaint by many Chevy Tahoe, sub, truck owners.

Factory installed hitch receiver is severely twisted. The issue has developed over the past 4 years but with very infrequent use. If the vehicle had done a lot of heavy towing this unit would have failed for sure. This could have caused a very serious accident if the failure were to have become catastrophic. I have come to discover that this is a common problem encountered by the majority of those who have used the vehicle for any intermediate towing.
