On 2/19/12 I changed my oil like I usually do every 3K miles. I parked my 07 Tahoe on level ground cleaned up my area work area then went back to check my oil level. I started the vehicle parked it in my driveway and began to clean my wheels (22" Boss Black & Chrome 5 stars). As I finished admiring my work I reach for my keys and press the lock button and nothing happens. I press harder thinking, wow this is strange I just used it to unlock the door. You would think the keyless entry would gradually die . . . Oh well, I'm thinking the remote key just needs a battery. So I go to the vehicle and press the door lock button which usually gives off a chime/ding but I hear nothing then I notice the interior lights are not on either. Next, I try the key in the ignition and still nothing. WTF has just happened? There is absolutely no power in the whole vehicle. It's like something has just zapped my truck with a gamma ray and stole all her POWERS. I am so pissed. I have tried disconnecting the battery for 15 mins and seeing if the computer system will reboot and still no power to anything. Next, I try giving it a jump and still nothing. I have never experienced this before . . . . Somebody HELP

Just happened in Aug 2014 and they are replacing the electrical wiring that has already been replaced.
We have had an electrical issue with our 2007 Chevy Tahoe that started not too long after we purchased. The car would not start and it seemed that the car had no electrical power. After waiting an hour or so the car would start (sometimes). The first time this happened I took to the shop and they said they could not diagnose unless the problem was occurring. Lack of starting happens 2-3x per year, and whenever the car was towed in, they were really not sure what happened. The most recent tow truck driver said that its something to do with the electrical negative cable. Due to the issue we have had:
- 5 battery changes
- Electrical wires replaced in 2009
- 7 documented tows (3 under warranty, 4 with my insurance)
- Electrical wires replaced again in 2014.
