I purchased this vehicle used in the fall of 2019 at a used car dealers lot in Oregon. In the summer of 2019 we started experiencing random no start problems. The first incidence we thought it was a faulty starter even though we could jump/short it across the terminal, and start the vehicle. After replacing the vehicles starter with a remanufactured non GM starter, we started having more no start problems. Remedy was arcing the starter posts across one another, and then vehicle would crank and start. We had the vehicle inspected by a GM dealer, our local mechanic, and they stated it had to be "dead" in order to diagnose the problem. Then a week later we had the car go into "anti-theft mode" while driving, and the speed and transmission slowed the vehicle nearly to a stop, - all the lights started blinking, dic warning lights started flashing check stability, check blind side, check 4 wheel dr., ect... fortunately I was not far from home and parked the car in the driveway and shut it off. Immediately I tried to re-start the vehicle and we had a "no-crank" issue again. I checked and replaced all fuses relating to the stater even though not blown. We then had it towed to our local mechanic who is ase certified and he completely dismantled the under hood electronic fuse block, and the communication fuse block under the drivers side dash and to no avail- found no wiring or fuse problems. He diagnosed over 400 connections, and could not find anything contributing to the problems. He stated as soon as he unbolted the under hood fuse block the car started, but he continued the diagnostics as stated above. There is a third fuse block under the dash that sits beside the communication block, and has fuses that were checked as well. During July, August, October 2019, we had numerous no start/crank instances. Remedy is a large screwdriver and arcing the starter.

I have read thousands of complaints about the dashboard being cracked. Mine has done the same and I had taken it to the dealer to see if it was covered under warranty and they had told me no because it did not come from the factory like that. I'm thinking well no [xxx], have an electrical issue/powertrain issue/engine issue/ etc it's probably not going to come from the factory with the issue. Anyway I am trying to contact Chevrolet to fix the issue and/or put out a recall for the problem. Information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

Support bracket weld to transmission dipstick tube broke. Dipstick tube loose and only held in place at transmission. Caught at a GM lube location in charleston, wv during routine lube and oil change. They stated they have seen at least 6 of these breaks in late model GM SUVS. In worst case tube could pop out of transmission and leaking transmission oil could hit exhaust and cause a fire. My fix is a small hose clamp around the bracket and tube to hold it in place.
