So here I am at the dealership with my wife 2 weeks ago, we find the most beautiful Tahoe we have ever seen. We get a quote we get approved and the keys are in our hands the next day. We are so excited...2 days later all hell breaks loose. The gauges and lights on the dash go completely nuts, the door locks cycle on and off like crazy, bells and chimes are dinging and then the transmission bangs down a gear and jerks us forward. We are stunned so we pull over and call the dealership they say start it up and drive it in, so we do. He reassures us the computers just needed to be reset and its all fixed now. He lied...it does it again...and again....and again....5 times in the past 2 weeks. At this point were PISSED! The guy at the dealership is reassuring us that he will get it fixed and this and that so finally he brings it to a guy who has seen this issue many, many times. NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE he says...Ill slap a new one in and you will be good to go...That was yesterday and so far so good. We have our fingers crossed this will be the fix. I will update in a few days whether or not it is still fixed. If your frustrated with this same issue just replace the negative battery cable and terminal. I've read all over the internet that this is a huge problem for GM owners and the new cable fixes most of them....Good luck!
