when it was like under 10000 miles on the car driving on a highway, the stabilitrak and traction control service lights turned and and says service stabilitrak after awhile the the engine acted crazy and engine light turned on and car stalled to a stop, cars behind me almost hit us.i tried to restart it but no ignition.i waited for like 5 min then it started.after several miles of driving it stalled again.the dealership told me it was a short circuit ,so they change the module.but now 47000 miles same problem went back, now without the warranty i have to pay for it to get fixed.and GM does nothing to fix this problem, maybe they're waiting for somebody to get hurt with this problem to have a recall.it seemed the with my research most of tahoe users from 2007-present have this problem.

As has been reported throughout the web, you'll notice quirky things like what feels like the engine may stall... lights will flick on off on dashboard... traction control on/off... feel as though you'll lose complete power. Then it returns momentarily and may do it again in seconds, or later in your trip. Very scary to be going through a major intersection and you are powerless! I took it in and was told it was a bad battery. Fixed for a few days and then it started again. Need to take it in again.
After Google search for this issue, you'll see tons of complaints. No resolution from GM. And likely your auto mechanic will not know about it (wink). Suggest you Google it and print out what others have identified as loose cables, corroded cables, bad terminal posts, etc. Could be several things. But this is not just a few cars. This seems to be inherent with this product line and GM chooses to do nothing to fix it.
Good luck on it!
