This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your Chevrolet dealer.
This is a significant issue in an otherwise pristine vehicle. It is a value, aesthetic, and safety problem that Chevy should be responsible for resolving.

These are fairly expensive vehicles. I owned a 2000, traded it in 2017, and I never had the dash crack. Sadly the quality of these vehicles has gone downhill.

The top right side of the dashboard has a 2-3" crack. And it's getting bigger! Chevrolet/GM should fix it!!!! All the company offers is a video about how to repair its FLAWED dashboard workmanship.

I was driving down the highway at dusk when I heard a loud "pop". I thought something had struck my windshield. When I arrived home I noticed some white fibers on the dash board. After further inspection I saw the crack in my dash board and am assuming the white fibers came out of the crack. My car has only 76,000 miles on it, is garaged accept when I am at work. In the warmer months I use sunshades on the windshield to protect the dash.
My previous Tahoe was purchased in 2000 new. I drove that vehicle for 17 years and 235,000 miles without my dashboard cracking.
I feel there should be a recall on this and free replacement by GM. I am not the only Chevrolet owner with this same problem.

A vehicle that stickers at 60k and the dash is falling apart and GM's response to date has been a polite "screw you". The (original) dash in my 1977 Trans Am is in better shape.

I love my Tahoe however it's concerning that my dashboard cracked for no reason.

Bought our 2013 Chevy Tahoe LTZ on Sept 2013 and already noticed that there was a crack on the dashboard by the airbag on the passenger side. I was lucky to notice this. My husband took the Tahoe to the dealership to get it replaced since it is still under warranty.

A class-action suit was filed in 2017 in the Eastern District of Michigan and said that dashboards in certain full-size GM trucks and SUVs sold between 2007 and 2014 were prone to cracking. The suit also alleged there were possible safety risks associated with the cracked dashboards.
The case then went to the court of appeals, where in 2019 it was dismissed by Circuit Judge John Nalbandian. It's curious how GM handled this massive issue with their dashboards cracking in their vehicles as compared to the way other auto manufacturers handle widespread issues with their vehicles.
For example, I own a 2007 Honda Civic. The Blue paint was found to be defective and was fading off of the cars. Honda issued a recall and repainted our vehicle for free. There was no safety issue with the paint, they just stand behind their vehicles.
Apparently, GM does not. The cracked dashboard issue was not found to be a safety issue either but they will not issue a recall. I understand they consider it a 'cosmetic' problem but it greatly effects the resale value of the vehicle with dealers wanting to reduce the trade-in by several thousand dollars.
Frankly, it is unbelievable to me that GM will not replace the dashboards in effected vehicles. I used to be a loyal Chevy guy and have owned GM/Chevrolet vehicles going back to the 1970s, but this problem and GM's lack of interest and concern has soured my taste for GM/Chevy vehicles.
Installing a dash cover appears to be the quickest remedy. I purchased one on Dashskins for roughly $153 and installed it myself. It's not a perfect solution and it goes against every fiber of my being, but cosmetically it looks better.
Update from Feb 22, 2023 The cracked dash issue is so widespread that sales of dash covers account for a significant amount of the aftermarket parts business for companies like Dashskins.
