Just an annoying problem, an engine oil leak, left side. The dealership is really trying to correct the problem, I have no complaints with them. The Tahoe was in to the shop at approx 3,000 miles, for the engine oil leak. Again, I notified the dealership at 5,100 miles, oil leak is still a problem, in the shop at 5,700 mile (approx). At 6,700 (approx) miles, in again. This time the decision was made to put dye in the oil, to track the oil leak. Week after the dye was added we saw evidence again, of the leak, appointment was made to correct the problem.
I will say again the dealer has bent over backwards to correct the problem. The Tahoe was in the shop Tuesday of this week. Mileage 7,447 miles) My hats off to the mechanic, he found it. Very difficult to see, and find, this one was hidden by engine accessories ..... We need a new engine, a bad engine block casting.
Here's the problem.
2 plus weeks before we get it back.. Trying to get Chevrolet to give us some purchase assistance, to trade in 2015 Tahoe LTZ on a 2016 Tahoe LTZ or 2015 Tahoe LTZ. Our dealer has again bent over backs and has found replacement Tahoes, if needed, close to what we purchased, again if we can get some assistance from Chevrolet. This is spoiling our retirement vacation. (Dec 28th Mar 1st) Today 12/24/2015. The General Manager, the Salesman, and Service Department & Service Manager, have been great to work with this week.
