I purchased this vehicle October 15, 2016, it's been in the shop 5 times now. They added motor mounts (hope I spelled it correctly) due to the darn thing shaking so badly when parked or idled with foot on brake. The ride is horrble, you can feel every single bumb on the road, this loud annoying ticking sound is the worst and they're telling me it's normal, due to the 2 fuel pumps. Is there a fix for the constant ticking sound?

I have this beautiful truck and when the truck is at idle, it sounds like the old 4 cylinders. Very ticky, wimpy.

I’m a mother of 3 children and working full time. We just closed on a house. Two of our children have Type 1 Diabetes which is demanding and costly. A few days after we closed on our house at a whopping 7% interest rate my check engine light comes on in my primary vehicle. My mechanic told me to just replace the engine for $13,000 because it’s such a hassle to replace the lifters which are the issue. The code is P219B.
Update from Apr 3, 2024 After a lot of reading it turns out that lifters failing in Tahoes happens all the time! Mine only has 79,000 miles and I’m faced with either a new engine or thousands in repairs. It’s financially devastating.
