The contact owns a 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe. While driving approximately 40 mph, a booming sound suddenly occurred due to the sun roof exploding. Shards of glass fell into the cabin of the vehicle and made contact with the occupants. No injuries were reported. The sun roof was in the closed position when the failure occurred. The vehicle was taken to casey Chevrolet (11700 jefferson ave, newport news, va) to be diagnosed, but they were unable to determine the cause of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 51,000.

The contact owns a 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact indicated that the top portion of the cargo window was unleveled and the glass was not secured and could potentially fracture. The passenger side of the cargo window was higher than the driver side and there was an exposed gap. The sun roof also leaked intermittently. The cargo door was welded poorly by the dealer and the trim on the door was deteriorating. The contact also stated that the paint was damaged on the hood and the paint was bubbling near the hinge on the front driver side. The dealer repaired the sun roof, but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was notified of the failures. The approximate failure mileage was 165,000.
