The contact owns a 2001 Chevrolet Tracker. While driving approximately 25 mph on normal road conditions, the vehicle aggressively turned to the right without assistance when the brake pedal was depressed. The failure occurred without warning. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer for inspection and they stated that the front cross member was rusted. There was a manufacturer extended warranty on the vehicle; however, the vehicle was excluded from the warranty due to the excessive mileage. The vehicle has not been repaired. The contact was concerned of the safety risk involved. The failure mileage was 175,000.

When turning right, the vehicle was able to tilt and lose control. After having had work done several times on the vehicle the problem was still unidentifiable. The consumer wanted the dealership to take the vehicle back and refund her money, because the car was defective. The consumer stated the brakes and tires were replaced to help alleviate the problem, but it continued. Also the vehicle had an alignment, and that did not help.
