- the contact owns a 2002 Chevrolet trail Blazer. The air bag light illuminated for 6 months. The dealer was unable to diagnosis the failure. The manufacturer will not assist her with the failure and didn't mention that there was an existing recall #02V222000: Air bags:frontal. The light illuminated for 6 months. When the weather was warm the light was not on. However, during the cold months it illuminated. The current and failure mileage were both 105,000.

: the contact stated the airbag light illuminated upon initially starting the engine. The vehicle was inspected by an independent repair shop, who performed a diagnostic test which produced a failure code for the airbag sensor. There was a NHTSA recall, # 02V222000, regarding the air bags. The vehicle was not included in the recall due to the VIN. The dealer was alerted, and the manufacturer was not contacted.
