Power steering pump failed while the driver was making a right turn. Although the driver was turning steering wheel to the right the vehicle continued to go straight in oncoming traffic. The driver was able to avoid a collision.

The power steering was disabled and was very difficult to steer vehicle. We took it to our service person who contacted a GM dealer, ewald of oconomowoc, wi. They told us to bring the vehicle in to the dealership. While driving to the dealership thepower steering returned to use.
