While driving 40 mph steering pulley failed. Vehicle lost power. Dealership was notified, but did not resolve the problem. The vehicle switches itself into 4-wheel drive while the manual switch is in 2-wheel drive. The taillights failed. At new computer had to be installed. The rack and pinion needs to be replaced.

Trailblazer 4WD 6-cyl

Whining heard from engine area after warm up. Heard from 2000 RPM and up during acceleration. After reaching desired speed (city, highway, or rural) and maintaining steady speed noise goes away. Sounds like a imminent steering rack failure as dealer has changed P/S pump, changed fluid, and flushed lines trying to correct problem to no avail. Happens upon every start and accelerate.
