I have a fully loaded 2003 chevy trailblazer ext lt. All the bells and whistles. All of which are falling apart. Bought it brand new from the dealership 10/03. Have had nothing but problems. Now I only have 78000 miles on it and was getting a very strong gas smell (knew it bc unfortunately I also own a colbalt!). I called chevy direct and was given a case number to give to the dealership to discuss assistance with the repair. Dealership didn't want anything to do with the "case number". Said the car is just out of coverage for this problem. Should have been a recall, not a "we'll only fix it if it's broke". I have had six Chevys. Will not have a seventh.

I found (through gas spilling out of the back of my blazer) a crack in the gas cap entry to the tank. Covered under a 10 yr 100K warranty. TSB-07799A is the policy number.
Any chevy dealer will fix this if it's the problem.

i am having the same problem as of both. starts rough, smell of gas is strong inside/outside of vehicle.. i have been searching many different site and have found some different answers, but i just need verification on what it might possibly.
1. the gas cap is of course cross threaded. - checked this it is fine
2. also in norther states where there is snow their has been a couple of complaints of rust on the gas tank, and also on the gas tank neck.
- have not checked that yet..
3. i have also seen a report from GM of a hole or rust at the ICV ( inlet check valve)
here is the link to that.. scroll down.. http://forums.trailvoy.com/archive/index.php/t-39937.html
this is all that i have found at this moment.. if anyone has any answer's to what is wrong please notify me.

I noticed a strong fuel smell after driving the vehicle. Dealer diagnosed the fuel
pump module had corroded and is leaking. This car currently has a pending investigation with the NHTSA (EA 07-009). I mentioned this to the dealership and GM and have gotten no assistance with this $900 repair.

My Chevy Trailblazer has a serious gas leak from gas lines. There was a recall on the trailblazers. I tried to have it fixed but apparently they expired. This is a serious problem - this the only vehicle i have and I cant afford 700.00 to have it fixed. There should be no expiration. I'm disabled and now without a ride.
