The contact owns a 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The contact stated that there was an overheating bulb in the tail light assembly. He received a recall notice in 2004 for this failure at 40,000 miles. The dealer inspected both lights and discovered that only the driver's side tail light was defective. The passenger side light was not affected at the time, but currently it is beginning to fail three years later. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and they stated that since it was previously tested and diagnosed, they would not repair the passenger side tail light. The recall number was unknown.
