I see a lot of complaints about rear windows on Trailblazers well I had the problem went to open the lift gate got it up a foot at the same time it started to bind. The window shattered, I looked it over being a production engineer in a plant I seen the two side tape was separating from the metal bracket holding the brake light spoiler on. Ran right to my Chevy dealer they said snow on top? I said do you see any snow! I pointed out to the service rep the two sided tape. The only thing that holds the spoiler on is TWO SCREWS and TWO SIDED TAPE. GLUED TO THE BACK GLASS 59000 miles 30 days after warranty I called GM, to bad so sad.I also have a friend her spoiler blew off going down the road. Steve H Oconto, WI.

I have a trailblazer that is having problems with the rear spoiler binding when we open the rear window. We have a complaint number 71474330517. The dealer is telling us that it is caused by Ice buildup deforming the rear spoiler. They say they have seen this before so it is obvious that it is a design flaw not an isolated issue that we should be paying to fix. The truck is garaged ever night. If the vehicle is not capable of handling a mild winter and GM is not willing to stand behind the product it does not say very much about the type of company and the products they are selling.
For a $40K it has not been very reliable and the service department at MacMulkin seems to be more concerned with selling vehicles rather than honoring warranty contracts.

I HAD MY REAR HATCH SPOILER JAM SO THE BACK HATCH WOULD NOT OPEN. TOOK IT TO RHE DEALER AND HE SAID THEY DID HAVE A UPGRADE FOR THE PROBLEM. THEY FIXED IT UNDER WARANTY. THIS WAS DONE AT BELISE CHEVROLET ON 12/27/04.
NOW AGAIN IN 2010 WITH ONLY 50,000 MILES THE SAME THING. I WENT TO THE DEALER THIS MORNING ALONG WITH THE ORGINAL PAPER WORK FROM 2004,. OF COURSE THEY WOULD NOT DO ANY THING. AT THE TIME I HAD IT FIXED IN 2004 THEY TOLD ME IN THE SERVICE DEPT.IT WAS A UPDATE TO FIX THE PROBLEM, NOW I HAVE THE SAME THING WRONG YOU CAN SEE WHERE IT IS BROKEN, AND NOW THEY WANT $400-500. I CAN'T UNDERSTAND THEY KNOW ITS BEEN A PROBLEM SINCE THE CAR WAS 6 MONTHS OLD. I HAD OWNED 2 ISUZU TROOPERS AND WENT OVER 200,000 MILES. REALLY DISAPPOINTED IN CHERVOLET
