With the little amount of time my Trailblazer is driven, I wouldn't think anything should be going bad on it. This seems to be a common problem that Chevrolet possibly needs to consider recalling.

5 quit working right away, then all fan settings quit this year. I took out the glove box and can't find the resistor people are talking about. Dealer wants $265 to fix it. Need this in Florida heat.

About a week prior to actually going completely out, the blower for the front of the vehicle would act very hesitant. It would run full power, cold temperature, and then the next time I started the truck it wouldn't blow beyond the softest of breezes. Less than 3 days after this started happening, the blower in front went entirely out and the back blower, while it still blows full power, does not blow cold at all. I also feel a constant "hot" breeze coming from the floorboards which completely sucks in a Missouri summer, where our temperatures tend to hover in the upper nineties or higher with heat index. Before this, I adored my AC because it blew to the point of feeling frigid, winter-type cold from the vents and having to turn it down. Now, I pray it doesn't cost me a ton to fix because I don't have the money to repair everything that goes wrong.

Brought 05 Trailblazer used, drove it for a year before ac went out.I'm told it will cost anywhere from 500. to 1600. to fix. Guess I will be suffering thru another HOT!!!! Texas summer.

My a/c control button for blower started messing up,first #5 on dial stopped working,then #4 stopped and so-on.And one day blower did not work.I then spent aprox. 200.00 dollars on control panel,did not work.Then 95.00 dollars on new blower,did not work.Then i bought resister 55.00 dollars.When i unplugged resister i noticed plug was melted at contact,hot wire was black.I contacted a mechanic he stated that wire was a common problem and its a dealer item...wire cost 75.00 total cost 425.00 and 8-10 hours of headaches..

I just read some of the complaints and solution to this problem. I hope it helps. I do feel that all of us should file a complaint though. This is not the only problem that I have had in the last few months w/this vehicle though.

This was the first of 3 we've replaced so far since owning this suv. The resistor is burnt up. So this first time we thought nothing of it so we paid to get it fixed, had to it was cold outside! I did ask the dealer what caused the resistor to burn out? He said these things just happen. I said for a vehicle that's just 3 years old it shouldn't happen. He smiled and shrugged his shoulders.

My blower stopped working on speed 5. We just ran it on 1 through 4 until it finally quit working at all. I got online and found the information on this website about a resistor and harness that seemed to fail frequently. Today, I took out the glove box and the blower and found the assembly directly behind the glove box. I bought a new resistor for 30 dollars at Auto Zone and tomorrow I am getting the harness. I think it will only cost me about $50 to fix this myself.

Here's another complaint about that so called "quality car" of mine. Now my AC goes out on me when were having one of the hottest heat wave ever. The temperature yesterday was about 110 in the shade and today was about 107. I couldn't pick up my 7 month old son from the sitter because of the heat. I had to have my wife pick him up with her air conditioned vehicle. I canvassed around and the average I got was about $700 to repair. They said that it could be the Blower Motor Resistor is burnt out and the harness (which would cost about $900). They said that this was another common problem for this car model. If I or someone else dies from heat exhaustion will they then recall this damn car? What else are they waiting for? I will definitely report this to www.nhtsa.gov and ODI (Office of Defects Investigation) or http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov. If anyone else has a problem like me please report it so we can get our problems fixed.

I have a 2005 Trailblazer and the a/c blower thing went out. I cant even drive it, it makes such an awful noise! It will cost me about $600 to get fixed. My parents have the exact same vehicle, and the same thing happened to them not once BUT twice in one month!! A friend also has the same kind except a 2003, and the same thing is wrong with his...talk about JUNKS!!!!

I check all pertinent fuses but none were faulty. Checked to determine if another fuse was associated with the overall problem, everything checked out. I had a similar problem with an 98 Grand Prix whereby the blower only worked at the 5th position.

This is only beginning of problems. We had it fixed at the Chevy dealer we bought it from was under warranty. It was a resistor. Haven't had any more problems

I HAD A SECONDARY BLOWER FIXED X2 IN 2 WEEKS THEN A MONTH LATER IT STOPPED WORKIN. SOMETIMES IT WORKS AND SOMETIMES IT DOES NOT.
