The contact owns a 2005 Chevrolet trail Blazer. The contact stated that the fuel level gauge indicated that there was one quarter gasoline in the fuel tank yet the vehicle stalled due to there being no fuel in the vehicle. The dealer advised that the fuel sensor and fuel pump would need replacing. The dealer did not perform a diagnostic but advised that the failure was common and was aware of exactly what would remedy the failure. The VIN was not available. The failure mileage was 60,000 and the current mileage 80,000.

The contact owns a 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The contact stated that the ignition switch failed in his vehicle and was replaced by the dealer. The resistance pig tail (wiring harness), the fuel pump module, and the clutch also failed; however, the dealer stated that the contact must pay for the repairs. The dealer stated that there were no recalls for the vehicle and it cannot be repaired for free. The failure mileage was 76,000. 4/01/09 the water pump, pulley and serpentine belt was replaced. Updated 04/09/09.

As a result, the fuel gate unit malfunctioned. The manufacturer stated that they would repair the failure at $350, which is half of the price they are charging. The failure and current mileages were 50,000.
