Windshield has considerable distortion and causes visibility problems while driving (especially in traffic). GM claims this is normal and will not replace the windshield. This is a significant safety concern.

The windshield in my 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer was defective from the factory. It had such bad ripples in the glass that it made me feel as if I were looking through a pair of bifocals. After a couple of trips back to the dealer I finally convinced them to replace it! the new one is better but still has flaws in it. I've been looking at other Trailblazers now and see the same defect in many other vehicles. I feel that could be a serious safety concern and that something should be done about it!

The contact owns a 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer. He states that the windshield on the passengers side looks as if one was looking through a magnifying glass around the edges of the window. But is worse on the driver's side. Also, on the windshield there is a wavy effect through the field of view and makes this distracting for the driver.

Consumer bought a new vehicle that had a defective windshield. Result, poor visibility. Took vehicle back to dealer, and the windshield was replaced again. Consumer took the vehicle back a third time. GM had sent the dealership a notice not to replace any more windshields for the Chevrolet trail Blazer.
