I'd like a solution to speakers that cut in and out.

The stereo in the vehicle sometimes only the tweeters work, no bass nor mid range speakers work. Suddenly they come on full blast and scare the crap out of us. Can not control this at all. Never know if it going to work or not. Kids use Cell for music. Wife just puts up with it.

I rarely use my radio or CD player, however when I have used it I noticed that the right front speaker didn't work all the time and it has not been working all these years. Now my left side isn't working properly and the radio now has a very light sound as if there is a loose ground wire or something to that nature. Going into this website I see and have read that apparently this has been an ongoing problem since day for a lot of people... quite a lot. Many indicated to replace the speakers because of the water leaking thru the window area (which mine does) and the poor design and lack of protection to that speaker is creating a short in the wiring of the speakers. I have now contact General Motors and they said they would like me to go to the dealer and have my door switch recalled replaced and let them check it out. The car is out of warranty and even when it was in warranty the problem was never corrected. I suspect that this "check out" would turn out to be a big expense to their advantage. I refuse to take that chance. I am an ASC certified mechanic and I will take the door panels off myself and check the speakers and save hours of going to a dealer and listening to a lot of BS that I have read about that other people have already gone thru. This car has been falling apart, paint, interior and radio and speakers. I only have 52,000 miles on this vehicle and I can still remember "drive the USA in your Chevrolet" give me a break.... I have not intentions of getting stuck in the USA... needless to say, I gave other vehicles. I paid $25,000. cash for this vehicle and it was a big mistake. I am not thru with them yet, but I will do it on my terms and not theirs. Whoever gives me an diagnosis, I hope they no what they are talking about because I can't be fooled that easy.

Just hoping someone else had this problem repaired. It seems to be a loose connection because bumps or even up shifting causes them to turn on or back off.

My front speakers are barely audible all of the time and only one back speaker works intermittently so if the one back speaker is not working I have no radio. I contacted chevy.com and was told with the age and mileage of my vehicle any repairs are my responsibility. I think all of the issues I am having which are several are all electrical and will probably be fixed if they would ever find a solution for the recall I received about the exterior lights.
