My ac system in my truck suddenly stop working in April 2011. I assumed that it was the ac compressor. I took my vehicle into a certified mechanic and was informed that the wiring to the resistor had burned. He took pictures of this damage and stated to me that he looked into this and was informed that this has been a major issue with GM trucks and a service alert has been sent to dealers about this.
