Shut down while on interstate at around 70mph, had towed to house and it will not crank or turn over, has power, gas. WTF

The engine shuts off while driving without warning. The incidents are at different times of the day and the outside temperature has varied. I've been going anywhere between 10-70 mph when it's happened. It's very scary because I loose power steering, therefore it's extremely difficult to safely maneuver my vehicle to a parking lot or side of the road. One time it shut off when I was traveling in rush hour traffic going 70 on the highway. I had to exit on a ramp, which was u-shaped, so you can imagine how hard it was with no power steering.
Every time it happens I have to turn the vehicle off and wait 2-5 minutes before it will start back up. I've left it at a mechanic shop for 3 days and they were not able to find anything wrong that's relevant to the issue. Also, it didn't duplicate the problem for them. I've researched the issue on the internet and it seems like a really common problem but nobody has identified a concrete "fix". A suggestion was to replace a couple of sensors, so I did, but it didn't work. I'm not willing to spend a large sum of money for the sake of "process of elimination".
It's very dangerous for myself, passengers, and other drivers. I try to be as responsible as possible by taking different routes to my destinations that involve less traffic just in case it cuts off. I don't understand why Chevy hasn't had a recall. This is obviously a safety concern with the highest importance.

I love my Trailblazer, but its just a pain in the ASS ! I just wish it ran right! Everything else works great! Wish Chevy would Figure it out, or do something to compensate the owners.
