Stupid electronics!!! Chevy knows about the issues with their fuel sensor and won't offer recall. Now I have to drop the entire tank, or take to a shop and pony up $450+. SUCKS!!!

My engine light keeps coming on. I have OnStar and had them do diagnostic test to see what the problem was. I took it to mechanic and they diagnose the same problem. Codes were P0128 and P00017. Had the car repair and P00017 keep come back on. I replaced the Kam shaft actuator. I am so tired of the problem I cant get my car smog. How do I get Chev to fix my car. I am not only one who has had this problem. I google it and read and find this to be a big issue.

Still owe $10k on vehicle with regular maintenance checks and oil changes, etc to keep it running. Drove one day on highway - check engine light kept blinking but all gauges were fine and no unusual noises. Exited and immediately felt car slugging terribly. Immediately pulled into gas station to eventually learn that a valve (or valve spring) broke off and fell into a piston ruining the engine.

Two separate mechanics agreed that this was highly unusual and a fluke. GREAT NEWS FOR ME! Was told only solution is to buy a new engine. REALLY? Why can't they rebuild my engine?

I'm screwed - no warranty - no money and 3 kids with 2 in college and of course a deadbeat dad who has paid $400 since 2000 in child support.

Any recommendations? Thanks!!!
