This problem has left me sitting on the side of the road at least 6 times.As much money as was spent on this vehicle,and it being a 2007 you would think a recall would be a nobrainer.Using average mpg is noneffective because use of the air conditioner and idling in traffic is unacceptable for a car that is 4 years old,not to mention inaccurate.The trailblazer scored poorly in 2007 consumer digest for electrical problems.Look for yourself.The nhtsa fell all over themselves over toyotas problem with sticking accelerators which they never really found out the problem.All I(we) ask for is a recall to fix a problem that is going to get someone ran over.gm is in bed with the federal gvt. of which the national highway transportation safety adm. is a branch of.They are the ones that can force the manufacturers into a recall situation,not gm.

Shame G M for selling all these Trail Blazers and other vehicles with this crap fuel monitor that cannot stand up to blended gas that our uncle Sam says to use to save oil.

now your dealer is charging me $102.00 on July 5 2011 to tell me the fuel gauge is a piece of crap and is not working like it should, and that I will have to shell out $600.00 to get another just like it, I have been a G M customer since I bought my first G M vehicle a truck in 1959, I am a retired G M worker with 33 yrs. of service.

Much like everyone else on here I have a 2007 Trailblazer that the gas gauge reads empty all the time... I too have called the GM complaint line on two seperate occasions.. The most recent being today after running out of gas yesterday because of a miscalculation. They must have a script there that they read off of for this complaint because the person there responded word for word what I was told back in November..

Im sorry GM.. I am not going to take my car into a Chevy dealership and give them 100 dollars so that they can tell me its the fuel sensor attached to the fuel pump when we all know that that is what it is. Im also not going to pay 100 dollars on a hope and a prayer that Chevy will pay for the repair, because we all know you won't.. All I can say is you better hope to god that my wife and kids dont run out of gas and god forbid something happen to them because of this issue because I can promise you that there isnt a corporate attorney that you can hire that will be good enough to protect you from the ruin that I will cause you.. FIX YOUR PIECES OF CRAP.. I and every person I ever talk to will never buy another GM product for as long as I live..

Around Christmas time my gas gauge kept shooting from full to empty. When I would put gas in it, it would go to full only briefly then go straight back to empty. Now it just stays on empty and I never know how much gas I have. I constintantly worry about running out on my way to or from work, or while I have my 9 month old granddaughter with me. I live in Ohio and it gets pretty cold here. I feel running out of gas is unsafe because it poses a risk on my life as well as any others in my vehicle! Pulling off the road on a busy highway poses the risk of someone not paying attention and slamming into you, pulling over on a rural road poses all kinds of safety issues.

I have called the GM phone number 1-866-790-5700 and talked to a few people now. I took it to our local Chevy place and received an estimate for $600. I paid $53 for the diagnostic. The man at GM said for being the "age" of the TB, he does not think GM will help me pay for it!!! WHAT???? 4 years old, I purchased it brand new.....cost me $20,000 and they will not cover something that by looking at all the complaints on line surely constitutes a recall.

We currently have 5 GM vehichles and this will be my last! I cannot believe they want me to keep this thing, pay out another $600 (due to the age of my trailblazer) and be happy with it. I am seriously thinking of trading it in at this point and purchasing a FORD Fusion. HUGE difference of course, but hey, at least their logos will stay on and look nice! Chevy, you should be ashamed. With the rate you're going, you will be out of business one day and it will be noones fault but your own!

This gas gauge problem is very aggravating since it was a relatively new vehicle when the problem started. But, I was not going to spend $350-$400 to fix a problem that should never have happened that soon. So, I have to reset the trip every time I fill up and I have run out of gas twice in the past 18 months. To make matters worse, my wife has a 2001 Olds Aurora and her car has the same problem, wo we have to reset the trip on her car also. Two GM products, two gas gauge problems. It seems like all the problems we have with GM cars are electrical and expensive to fix for what the problem is. These two and our other three electrical problems would bleed us to death if we fixed them all.

I spoke with a couple people at an auto part store and they had their ideas of what the problem was. I went to an mechanic shop to see what a diagnostics would cost me, and he said about $140. He then told me he thought there was a recall on a chip in the dash on Trailblazers between 2003-2007. I called the local Chevy dealership and he told me there was no recall for this problem.

The first time this was an issue, I ran out of gas in a convenient location, if there is such a thing. I was able to call a relative and they brought me a gas can. Since, my gas gauge starts to fluctuate at about a 1/2 tank. It used to show the real gas level when i started it up and as soon as I started to drive it would drop until my light came on. Now, my gas gauge shows empty when I start it up.

This seems to be a very common problem and I'm going to search for someone at GM to email and complain to. I have had nothing but problems with my Trailblazer since the first night I brought it home. It was one year old and had 19k miles. I'll never own one again!

Fuel sender is gone. Gas gauge reads empty with light on constantly even when filled up. So To get it fixed it's gonna cost $600 to replace. Trailblazers with this problem have to get a module kit with a new tank, pump and floater. So this isn"t a recall yet because people who complain on websites aren't calling GM. So here's Gm's number to complain. 1-866-790-5600. PLEASE call them with this complaint that us trailblazer owners are having. It will hopefully soon become a recall and we can this this fixed through Gm and not our wallets.

Service Advisor at dealership was made aware of the issue when symptoms 1st started occurring with gauge only registering half full at fill up, and low fuel warning light on at the same time. "We've seen a lot of these with this model and it is usually a failed sensor replacement needed inside the fuel tank. Cost to repair is over 4 hours plus part". Used emergency roadside fuel service twice when I estimated the mileage from the odometer wrongly & ran out of fuel (vehicle mileage has deteriorated 10% per 8K miles to an average now barely over 14 mpg; never been higher than 18.7mpg highway, 13.7mpg city). Now, persistent light, bell warning every few minutes, even immediately after fill up's. I need documentation from other Trailblazer owners to remit a post warranty claim.

Unbelievable! I took this in to the Chevy dealer, they knew exactly what the problem was, but said this is not a common problem. I had it fixed at $600. A lady who also owns a 2007 Trailblazer approached my wife in the parking lot tonight to ask her if she had problems with her gas gauge because she was having this problem. Then I look at the internet and see this is a wide spread problem. SHAME ON YOU CHEVROLET!!! I have bought Chevy's in the past and I can tell you, I HAVE BOUGHT MY LAST CHEVY!!! This is a disgrace when this is such a widespread problem and Chevy dealers will not acknowledge it. Also tire pressure light an ongoing problem. I take excellent care of all my vehicles having all regular maint. I am done with CHEVYS! When a dealer is and manufacturer is dishonest with me, I will not buy their product again......ever!
