Trailblazer LT V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 160,000 miles

When the check engine light initially came on I had the 'applicable' sensor replaced, then a week later the light was back on. I replace the gas cap (3 times). It comes back on and per the mechanic I replace the fuel tank ( only way to get to the sensor) and fuel pump. I was able to go 5 days and guess what the light is back on. I have replaced everything I can and still the light comes on. I can't be the only one with this VERY EXPENSIVE problem. I service my vehicle routinely and overall it is in very good condition.

Trailblazer LT 4.2L I6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 196,312 miles

I have been to 3 different shops here in Raleigh NC with a check engine light on. Every one of the shops have told me I have a cylinder 6 misfire. The last shop I took it to, replaced the spark plugs, with iridium plugs, and the cylinder 6 coil, and after hundreds of dollars in parts and labor, I have the same problem. They also checked my injectors, and all of them were in working order.

I feel that General Motors should produce a massive recall on the heads on all the 4.2L engines. After extensive research, it seems that a lot of people out there have had the same problems, it may not be with cylinder 6, cause others have reported cylinder 2, 3, and 4, but its definitely a major issue.

My 2008 Trailblazer may have 196,000 miles on it, highway miles, but its in immaculate shape, and I have all my service records. The reason for the high mileage is my commute to work each day requires me to drive 100 miles round trip, and I love my truck, so selling it isn't an option.

PLEASE everyone, lets raise enough hell, and see if we can't raise some eyebrows over at General Motors. My husband and I are very hard workers, and do have savings, but we also have a 16 month old child, and to spend 2,200 dollars on my vehicle right now was unexpected, and a serious blow.

Trailblazer Super Duty 6

My dad has a 2008 trailblaze,r engine lights comes on, it’s the light that tells you the vehicle needs to be in four wheel drive, so then from there you need to stop and start the engine over and over to clear it and then he can go on his way . Where he takes he truck in, the owner of the shop told him that he has around 7 or 8 that he has to fix at the cost of 700.00 to replace the chip .
