Trailblazer EXT LT 3.2L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 60,000 miles

Driver side power seat cover falls apart quite often. Clips used to attach this panel to seat frame on back of panel are not made heavy duty enough to withstand drivers entering and exiting constantly. All drivers are standard size human beings. We have fixed it numerous times but it just keeps breaking - therefore it seems like it is constantly broken. We bought dealer panel first time - very expensive. Then went to aftermarket as cheaper. After this, went to junkyard to pull one of other vehicles. All have failed!

I have ripped numerous pairs of pants on the sharp metal seat frame as well as minor scrapes to my right side bottom thigh area from this problem. Design flaw at best- good old GM trying to cut corners by cheapening the fasteners. Need to go back to the old nut & bolt technology to hold the panel on.

Power seat cannot be set to any comfort setting because of the arm that is broken. Plus the back parts inside the seat also broke and cannot be set.
