Fuel gauge showed I was empty after filling up the car. The gauge now reads erratically and does not show the proper amount of fuel in the tank. My wife is the primary driver of this car and I fear that she will run out of gas due to the "failure" of the gauge. We are doing our best to drive by mileage but our mpg varies quite a bit depending on our driving situation. Just received a letter from GM advising they will pay 50% of repair costs. However, I feel that this safety related item failure should be covered entirely by GM via a recall. Anything you can do to help would be appreciated.
