Traverse LTZ 3.6L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 110,676 miles

This car is garbage. NEVER own a CHEVY TRAVERSE. I brought my car in because it wasn't acting right. Didn't have power when turning and slow acceleration and just acting weird. Turns out the codes it was spitting out meant that the timing chains needed to be replaced. $1628.00 and 1 week later I get my car back. 2 weeks later, Driving along, I was using my A/C and All of a sudden engine dings, ENGINE LIGHT comes on, SERVICE AWD light comes on, car loses power and my car dies. It seems like the battery when its bad, will spit out a SERVICE AWD LIGHT when the battery voltage drops. (I seen that from reading other forums) Took it to a mechanic. They told me that it was my fuse box under the hood. Told me that half of my wires weren't working. So, I had that replaced. I paid $150.00 for that and got down the road and did the same thing again. So I waited 5 min, jumped it. got it started again. WTF??????? Any help would be great. I work my ass off and I don't like to throw money away.

Traverse LT V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 110,000 miles

I have a 2010 Chevy Traverse it has 110,000 miles and just recently when I run my air conditioner, after a while my service stability track and traction control error light come on, then everything on the dash goes crazy and the car shuts down. After about 10 minutes the car started back up and though the check engine light is on it runs fine as long as I don't run the air conditioner. I'm sure it's electrical just trying to save some money so I can take it to the dealership for repair, but after reading the complaints I see I'm not the only one have this issue.

I was driving and all of a sudden air conditioner stopped blowing cold air, traction light came on, check engine light came on, battery gauge went way down, water gauge showed no water level, gas gauge showed no gas, I stopped to get gas and then car would not start, kept trying to start it, finally turned on but all gauges were crazy.

Took the car right to Waldorf Chevrolet on 2298 Crain HWY in Waldorf, MD. The dealer couldn't even get the car started again after I turned the car off. Never happened before they checked out the car and called me around 12:00 pm and said you computer board needs to be replaced is completely shot. After reading several Chevy Traverses have the same issue. This needs to be a recall too many with the same issue. It's an expensive issue at that . I truly believe this model of car is a waste of money. I guess I should of bought a Toyota 5 years ago...

Again, for about the 15th time, the car is not running and is being serviced. Dealership mechanics are stumped, even though they said there are pages and pages of codes telling them exactly what the car was doing. And the car shut itself off for them twice, still they don't know what to do. GM corporate doesn't know what to do and have offered no solutions. Honda or Toyota will be getting a new customer very soon. I have been left stranded by this vehicle for the last time and have tired of getting the run around. I am appalled that GM has built a vehicle they don't know how to fix.

Update from Aug 6, 2015: For the 2nd time in 2.5 months, my vehicle is at the dealership. The first time it was there four weeks and started acting up again in a few hours after I picked it up. We are now entering week four again and the dealership is exasperated. General Motors won't help at all.
