Approaching a stop light the stabilitrack light came on then a message reduced engine power. The engine cut itself off. I had to keep under 15 mph but ever few miles pull over because the reduce engine light comes on and cuts the car off. Very dangerous. GM you need to do a recall and fix this!

Check engine light came on 6/19/14. Made appointment for 6/24/14 to have checked and also oil change. Dealer stated there is a $40 charge for putting on the tester for the engine light. Used blue onstar and was told it had to do with the emission and would affect fuel getting to engine and recommended repairs within 7 days. Check engine light went off on the way to dealer. However dealer checked and said everything checked out ok and did not charge. Light came on next day. Returned to dealer for light which had come on again and off again and one of two recalls which I had never been notified about. I am still waiting on the parts which had to be ordered for one of the recalls which is not yet repaired. Was last there on 7/15 and now I am told that it is an emission problem and will affect my fuel mileage and needs repaired and repairs cost approx $380 and of course the extended warranty for emission ran out at 80,000 miles.. I also an issue probably when vehicle was 2 years old where my power steering went out while driving. This was replaced with a new power steering pump. I was fortunately on a two lane residential road an coasted to a relatively safe place and had to have car towed. Thank god for triple aaa. This was covered under my fox extended warranty and only cost was time aggravation and loss of vehicle while repairs. I also have a off and on rubbing squeaking sound in the steering column when making turns. I am about ready to trade vehicles and am not financially able to afford the needed repairs. For this car. I am losing all faith in the vehicle.

On Sunday I noticed a reddish fluid under the front right corner of the vehicle that had leaked out onto the garage floor. On Thursday I took the vehicle in for regular maintenance and have the water pump recall taken care of and had mentioned to the service tech about the fluid I had noticed. The service tech called me later that day to inform me that the mechanic had found that the fluid was coming from the power steering pump and that the rack and pinion had to be replaced at a cost of $1400. The vehicle is just over 4 years old and to have this problem is unacceptable. In doing research into power steering failure on this particular Chevrolet vehicle, there are numerous consumers with the same issue related to the power steering components. The service tech said that this is a safety issue. If this is a recurring problem, a recall should be issued to have GM replace the power steering components before there are major accidents because of this. As of this writing, I'm waiting on a decision from the dealership to see if they would replace the power steering unit at GM's cost. Again, this is unacceptable.

Our 2010 Chevy Traverse ltz is currently in the shop reference heater/defroster not working and engine light coming on. The vehicle has been in the shop several times this year for ac problems, fluid leaks and numerous sensors failing. The steering problem was discussed with repair facility on several occasions. The problem according to them could not be duplicated. We had to ask the dealership personal to physically set in the vehicle and attempt to turn the steering wheel. A new power steering pump and return hose was replaced total cost $658.93. At present this has solved the problem. Approximate total cost this year for repairs $3100. At this point we have no confidence in general motor products of anykind. We have all documentation for these claims.

The affected parts were not on the list above so I put other. I noticed a green fluid leaking from my car. I automatically thought it was antifreeze. I was told it was a dye in the "pink" coolant to determine if there was ever a leak. I took it criswell Chevy for service and check the leak. The did the oil change and said everything was fine. The leak persisted and I immediately returned to the dealer find out leaks. Today finding out the issue is a leak in the hose and tube ac line. As per the service manager the parts are on back ordered from GM. It took 2 weeks to replace the hose ( part # 22757062 ) to fine another leak in the tube (part # 22875372). It has been a 1 1/2 weeks without A/C in 90+ weather cause they can't get the parts. Since GM can not produce the parts quick enough to keep up with the high demand repair, proves there is a major issue.time for a recall before someone passes out driving a hot car in high heat ( as I almost did today).
