2011 Chevrolet Traverse. Consumer writes in regards to second row seat trim shields safety recall. The consumer stated the vehicle experienced the same failure as described in recall N100243; therefore, the vehicle should be included in the recall.

The contact owns a 2011 Chevrolet Traverse. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 15V415000 (structure); however, the part to do the repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact stated that when the lift gate was opened electronically, it went up and, once it reached the top, shuttered and closed extremely fast. The failure mileage was 54,000. Update 01/15/16

The contact owns a 2011 Chevrolet Traverse lt. When the contact lowered the rear windows while driving 65 mph the vehicle made a loud noise and shook violently. The manufacturer filed report 71863208759. The manufacturer also advised him to lower the front windows first in order to let the air pressure out, before lowering the rear windows since the failure was an engineering defect. The failure mileage was 1,500 and the current mileage was 2,000.
