My issue, similar to others as follows...

2011 LT FWD bought it used just over a year ago with 114k miles. Now just under 120k. Shortly after buying car would die while idling, either in park or drive. Now more frequently in addition to this it cuts off while driving. If I’m going fast enough, the car starts itself back up and drives normally. The only dash indication of any issue is that the message screen flashes “traction control off”. I get no issue codes out of the OBD computer, no check engine light and the car does NOT go I to limp mode(as many others have cited). I have logged many of these instances (I will attach my log) but grew tired of writing them down.

I took a trip with the family in it last week and this happened approximately 10 times in a 100 mile drive, and again several days later about 7 times returning home.

I am the owner of the above-mentioned vehicle which I purchased in 2011 and financed over the next 5 years. The car has plagued me with repairs, particularly as concerns the Stabilitrak and traction control. On 2 occasions the car has seized up and won't go over 5 mph. The most recent incident was last week while driving and I had to carefully work my way from the fast lane of the highway all the way to the service lane with no power while putting my flashers on.

My mechanic diagnosed the problem as a defective fuel pump but this has happened before with the car when it loses complete power. It also shows the OBD II light on many occasions as it did in this instance. The gas tank here was showing it as half full also.

Is there a recall notice on these vehicles because it is extremely dangerous when the car seizes up? You run the risk of being rear-ended.

Please get back to me over my concerns. I am concerned about even selling the vehicle out of good conscience.

Started the Traverse after it had been sitting for about 3 hours. The dash kept blinking "traction off" and "traction on". Then the air conditioner stopped blowing and the battery light came on and displayed something about battery charging system. We opened the hood and it was smoking and smelt like rubber melting. I turned the car off. Gave it a minute and tried to start up and it wouldn't. It was completely dead, my hazards wouldn't work either. I had to call for roadside assistance and he tried to jump it off and that wouldn't work and he got the key stuck in the ignition. My step father is a mechanic so he replaced the alternator which was $170.00. Then the battery ended up being toast as well. Another 140 bucks. But now she's running back to normal. Major pain out in the heat being stranded waiting on a tow!!

car has no power key stuck battery is fully charged

I bought a 2011 Chevy Traverse about 8 months ago.I didn't buy the extended warranty which was the worst mistake ever!!!! I've had nothing but issues with this thing!!! A few weeks after i bought it the heater had to be replaced. The problems have since then continued interior lights don't work, power passenger seat died then i was driving down the highway and power engine reduced came on. The next day the keys got locked inside the car!!! I could be driving down the road and it just dies but then starts right back up???? newest problem is now car has abs no power and key was stuck in the ignition. so our first thought was battery we take it out have it tested its perfect and full!!! did i mention the vehicle has only 27,000 miles on it!!! please help!!!
